These vineyards, including Pillangó, Makár, Mandolás, Hidegkút, Városhegy, and Zuhánya, have been cultivated organically since 2007, reflecting Péter’s commitment to sustainability and respect for the land.
Often described as an “underground” winemaker, Péter Bakonyi embodies a distinctive winemaking style rooted in his profound grape expertise. His influence extends beyond his own cellar, as he lends his expertise in grape services to well-known wineries like Jackfall and Vylyan. Despite his expertise, Péter maintains a humble approach, valuing the intrinsic nature of both grapes and wine.
The winery, once backed by a retired German singing teacher who shared Péter’s passion, unfortunately faced a setback with the passing of the investor in 2021. However, Péter’s commitment to his craft remains unwavering.
