Levente

Mátra

1 of 3

Since acquiring his first vineyard in 2004, Levente has been shaping wines from the slopes of the Mátra. Nestled at the southern base of the region, his estate thrives on a complex, volcanic terroir that imparts a distinct character to every grape.

The vineyards rest on the slopes of Sár-mountain, an ancient volcanic crater, where soils of andesite, tuff, red clay, and brown forest earth create a fingerprint unique to the region. Terraced and facing southeast and south, the vines soak in optimal sun and airflow, while Levente’s eco-conscious approach ensures the land remains healthy and vibrant. Organic cultivation and minimal intervention, combined with careful vineyard treatments using natural materials like copper and orange oil, allow the grapes to shine.

Levente works in harmony with the land in both vineyard and cellar. His wines are crafted to mirror the authentic terroir—layered, mineral, and expressive—each bottle a reflection of the volcanic soils, the climate, and his meticulous care.
