PAP is the project of Áron Molnár and Karina Vissonova, who together discovered an old press house on the slopes of Szent György-hegy in 2014 and decided to create something entirely their own. From the start, they’ve worked side by side, blending Áron’s experience as a chef and his time working with vineyards in France with Karina’s design background from Copenhagen to shape every detail of the winery.

Set on a volcanic hill overlooking Lake Balaton, their work is rooted in the land. From the vineyards to the cellar, they make all decisions together, ensuring the wines reflect both the site and their shared vision. Working organically and then fully biodynamically, PAP’s vineyards are cared for without chemicals, and no added sulphites.

Basalt-rich soils, open slopes, and preserved biodiversity give the wines their energy and character. Everything is made in true vin de garage style—small batches, hands-on, and fully in their control. Production is limited to around 8,000 bottles, aged on lees in oak barrels to preserve texture and freshness.

During the summer, Áron and Karina also operate a vegan kitchen, mostly using produce grown on their own land alongside the vines, combining their culinary creativity with the rhythm of the vineyard.
