Lenkey Fordítás 2008 is a rare Hungarian sweet wine from Tokaj that carries nearly two centuries of tradition in every sip. Crafted from Furmint and Hárslevelű, this “secondary Aszú” style unfolds with a full-bodied, spicy richness shaped by 15 months in oak and 11 years of quiet bottle aging. Dried fruit, figs, dates, coffee, and tobacco weave together in a deep, slightly oxidative profile that feels both ancient and alive.

A wine for those who love stories as much as flavor—Fordítás reveals Tokaj’s heritage with every layer, turning time itself into taste.

What is Fordítás?

“Fordítás” (meaning Turning Over) is a historic Tokaj method dating back to 1826. After the Aszú wine is made, fresh must or new wine is poured over the remaining botrytised grapes. After maceration and pressing, the wine is aged in oak for at least a year, creating a concentrated, complex style known as secondary Aszú—rich, spicy, and deeply expressive.
