Lenkey November 2012

Lenkey November Cuvée 2012 is a Hungarian sweet wine from Tokaj born out of an unusual vintage and a bold decision. In a year without enough botrytis for Aszú, Lenkey harvested his grapes in November—the moment when Aszú berries are usually picked and late-harvest clusters are already long gone. The result is a rare style: richer and more concentrated than a typical late-harvest Tokaji wine, yet without the classic botrytised character.

In the glass, November Cuvée opens with honey, melon, cinnamon, and vanilla, wrapped in a gentle smoky note. The palate stays refreshingly bright despite its sweetness, leading into a long, memorable finish. A one-of-a-kind Hungarian wine that shows how innovation and intuition can transform a challenging year into something beautiful.
